The Porsche 911 was supposed to be called the 901, but Peugeot had a pretty popular 901 at the time and wasn’t crazy about sharing a model designation. So, looking at what numbers they had in the box, the Porsche 901 became the 911. Some 58 years later, this is how we launched its latest incarnation.
